Cotswold Downs Garden

We have just completed this beautiful African themed garden. What great fun creating a fire fit converted kitchen garden for Cotswold downs Estates, Hillcrest.

The Structure

The garden is sloped into three terraced levels using existing rock as features and decomposed granite pathways for accessibility.

Decomposed Granite

Decomposed granite, often shortened to DG, is literally that – granitic rock broken down into fine particles. They hold together better than simple dirt and come in a variety of colors. Decomposed granite pathways require proper installation.

These Trees are Bird Boxes!

Those trees are bird boxes… On stilts.. Underplanted with wild grasses and kniphofia.

The benefits of Wild Grasses

Wild grasses provide habitats and protection for local wildlife.  Environmentally they are important and offer food, nesting materials, and attract pollinators.
